Here's what I think is going on so far. Abe was lured to a planet on some kind of official call. He was attacked by a monster, which on the surface is pretty normal, only have a ghost (which I don't think he believes in) tell him that it's a manifestation of his emotional problems.
I think none of this is real except for the blue dude in orbit. He is somehow manipulating Abe for an unknown purpose.
It probably defeats the purpose of a jam comic to talk about the story too much, but if there is a bigger idea behind a panel besides a gag, it might be good to know so that we have more to play off against each other.
Thanks, Scott. I went a little retro Marvel with the SFX...I did Abe on my tablet PC in Sketchbook Pro. I'm still getting used to drawing digitally (or at least doing more finished drawings digitally), so this project is serving as my school.
I was gonna ask if that was digital. Yeah, I hope everyone is willing to let it all hang out here and try some new shit. I don't think it's a bad idea to talk about what's going on and what you think might happen. Even if you veer off from what is expected, which expect to happen, it's helpful to all have the same sense of what's happening.

Nice line work. I dig that the sfx break the panel borders. Solid stuff, Chris.

Yes...no...maybe?
BTW, I love the rhythm of the dia on page 4 too!

yeah, I can't believe nobody broke through any panels yet-- it looks great here.
Feeling inspired. Calling dibs!
Not to influence anyone, but after seeing that pink Sarge, I wanna see more rangers. So, I guess you know what my next panel will be.
yeah, Scotty- that's exactly where I was headed too
Haha...Scott, that's what I had in mind when I DID the pink sarge.
I'm hoping for a rescue mission, then.
Thanks everybody...I'm going to keep absorbing your work like a sponge and reguritating it back
I may be missing a link, but is there a way to completed pages easy to view?
Just click the "finished page" link under Labels in the sidebar.
Thanks Ryan. I love your work, btw. It has that Paul Grist/Alex Toth simplicity to it.
Thanks Chris, I really appreciate it, I'm a fan of yours as well. I remember seeing stills from the Major Damage animation a while back.
Which con is this weekend?
Where are you guys located? Are you all friends and I'm the only stranger here?
It'll be fun, I have to sit next to D. West all weekend, and Scott and Ben G. will be there as well.
If only I was that smart! LOL
